AMCNI renews deals distribution deals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
 12 Feb 2019
AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) and Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia today announce a multi-year, comprehensive renewal of their distribution agreement. The deal builds on the companies’ long-term partnership by providing carriage of AMCNI CNE’s full portfolio of fan-favorite networks to Slovak Telekom’s Magio and Digi Slovakia and T-Mobile TV Czech Republic customers.

The strategic agreement includes distribution of Sport 1, Sport 2, AMC, Film+, Minimax, Megamax, JimJam, Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, CBS Reality, The Outdoor Channel and Extreme Sports Channel. The multiplatform deal includes IPTV, DTH, cable and OTT carriage. Additionally, the companies will extend their cooperation to include joint marketing campaigns in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“We’ve distinguished ourselves in the marketplace by consistently offering compelling, premium quality content, and this multifaceted partnership underscores the enduring high demand for that content from viewers, distributors and advertisers. As AMCNI continues to experience strong growth momentum across the globe, we’re pleased to continue to provide Deutsche Telekom Group and their customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia with our high-quality programming and popular brands that engage, entertain and build passionate fan communities,” said Balázs Hajós, VP of Affiliate Sales of AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe.

As a result of the deal, subscribers will be able to enjoy all key sporting events. Sport 1 and Sport 2 will broadcast the El Clásico of Copa del Rey on February 27, Formula 1’s Australian Grand Prix in March, KHL’s Play Offs and new rounds of the Coppa Italia. Flagship channel AMC will debut popular, exclusive dramas including new episodes from original martial arts series “Into the Badlands,” followed by premieres of “Fear the Walking Dead,” “NOS4A2” and “The Terror” later this year. In addition, TV Paprika will exclusively premiere “Jamie’s Quick and Easy,” the latest show from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
