Euronews will start broadcasting in the Georgian language next year, Georgia Online reports. Euronews Georgia
is expected to appear in the Georgian media space as early as next summer. The selection of staff for the new channel already started on November 1. Currently, the channel is in the process of selecting suitable candidates for journalists, producers and deputy director.
The European International News Channel Euronews is broadcast in 160 countries. Along with the Georgian media content, Euronews Georgia will also feature content created by the European edition of the channel.
In July, an agreement to start broadcasting in Georgia was signed by the CEO of Euronews Mikael Peters and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Georgian telecommunications company Silknet George Ramishvili.
