Author of Silent Witness to attend NEM 2015
NEM announced yesterday that Nigel McCrery, a BBC drama veteran, is coming to Dubrovnik, where he will join its co-production panel. McCrery is visiting Croatia for the first time, and during the panel A Match Made in Co-production Heaven he will be discussing the creative and financial co-production potential when developing TV projects, with Tom Fontana, Bonita Pietila, Peter Nadermann and Ankica Tilić.
Nigel McCrery began his career at BBC in the 90s, and after several years of work on documentaries joined the network’s drama department. After working on several hit series, and having won the prestigious BAFTA award, McCrery wrote the hit-series Silent Witness, which remains successful to this day, and will celebrate 20 years next year. McCrery kept on writing hit series and documentaries for BBC, Backup, Born and Bred and New Tricks among others, and is also the author of the second most watched movie in the history of BBC, All the King’s Men, with the legendary David Jason in lead role. McCrery is also a famous author, and a number of his bestsellers, Thirteenth Coffin, The Guns of the Red Baron and Silent Witness among them, have been translated to more than 12 languages. NEM 2015 will explore the possibilities of the new media, as well as the future of TV content. The event takes place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from June 9 to June 11. RELATED
