Peter Marschall exits Paprika Latino, new CEO appointed
 13 Apr 2016
Paprika Latino, a part of Nice Entertainment Group and the MTG group, announced yesterday that Akos Erdos has been appointed as the new CEO of the company. The news was first reported by TVBIZZ.

Prior to joining Paprika as COO in 2013, Akos was heading Origo Film Studios in Hungary. Akos replaces Peter Marschall who founded Paprika in 2004 and is leaving the company as part of a planned succession process.

“Paprika has been my total focus and dedication for more than 10 years. I have had the privilege to build and work with some of the most talented teams in the business, and I am really proud of what we have accomplished together. I have enjoyed every step of this entrepreneurial success story, and I am sure that Paprika and Nice will continue their positive development in the future,” Peter Marschall commented.

Paprika was first established in Romania and is now present in most of Central Europe, from the Baltics to Bulgaria. Paprika has also expanded into Costa Rica, where it produces hit “sunshine reality” formats like Paradise Hotel, Survivor and Are You the One? for multiple countries and broadcasters. Paprika is both a trusted partner for international rights owners, as well as a developer of its own original programming. Paprika also provides a unique combination of location services and hub productions, such as for Release the Hounds, while also developing original hit formats like Fish on the Cake, which was first produced in Hungary in 2007.

“I am very pleased to announce Akos as the new CEO of Paprika. He will continue to develop our relationships with our ever growing customer base, and as more and more of our own formats are broadcasted across the Central Europe region. I also want to thank Peter, that now decided to leave us, for his fantastic contribution to the success of both Paprika and Nice, and we wish him the very best of luck for the future” - Morten Aass, CEO of Nice Entertainment.
