NEM Day 3
Day 3 of the New Europe Market which was held this week in Dubrovnik featured with a panel on channel bundling. According to participants in the panel, the increased demand for non-linear and multiscreen viewing leads to a disconnection between channel providers and TV operators.
Operators need fewer channels and more comprehensive rights for the channels they transmit in order to meet the demands of viewers. Channel providers said securing rights remained complex and argued that linear viewing still accounts for the bulk of all TV consumption. The last, third day of New Europe Market, saw some interesting panels about trends such as channels bundling and female leaders in this dynamic field. To spice it all up, Podravka presented its new series „Croatia’s Finest“ with MasterChef winner Dhruv Baker who explained the path to the taping of this soon-to-be-seen series that consists of 20 episodes. „Croatia’s Finest“ will show the culinary and tourist side of Croatia, pointing out the best of Croatia’s nature in places like Zagreb, Brač, Virovitica and other beautiful places.
