You read it first! Armoza confirms Greek adaptation for La Famiglia
Israeli independent distributor and developer Armoza Formats has signed a new deal in Greece with leading channel ANT1 for the hilarious Israeli comedy La Famiglia, the companies announced today. This deal marks the first partnership between Armoza and ANT1, a member of the international media and entertainment network Antenna Group.
CEETV was first to report that ANT1 is adapting the Israeli comedy format. La Famiglia is also one of the 4 finalists nominated in the comedy category of the Seoul International Drama Awards 2016. Originally produced by United Studios of Israel, La Famiglia now adds Greece to the list of countries who have acquired the rights to the format. The hit show has been sold in 5 countries, including France and Canada, while in Israel the 2nd season will begin production next month. La Famiglia (30 x 30’) follows the lives of a perfectly normal suburban family living in the divorce capital of the country. With many reasons to be happy, they have even more reasons to go to therapy – their sex life, his best friend, her complaints, and of course, his mother. Their therapy sessions provide the entertaining basis for the series, through which we flashback to the comical, stand-alone scenes from their daily life. Each episode is a new therapy session in which they bring up the most embarrassing, bizarre, awkward and insane moments that are a part of every family’s life. Nikos Kalis, Program Director of ANT1, “We are excited to have acquired ‘La Famiglia’, an extremely successful product that perfectly fits the content of our programing. The acquisition of the rights of this hit show further enhances Antenna Group’s strategy to invest on outstanding foreign formats and air premium TV products that gain great success. We know that our cooperation with Armoza Formats will stand out internationally.” Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are thrilled to see the growth of ‘La Famiglia’ and are confident in its ability to captivate audiences in Greece as much as the original series did in Israel. We look forward to a strong partnership with ANT1 TV and to future collaborations together.” RELATED
