BBC Worldwide announced yesterday that it has sold The Great Bake Off to Nova TV Bulgaria. CEETV reported exclusively three weeks ago that the show will launch in the second part of the TV season in Bulgaria.

Nova’s Bulgarian version will be titled Bake Off: The Sweetest Competition (13 x 50’) and will premiere in primetime later this year, the distributor said.

BBC Worldwide will present a total of 16 new formats to international buyers at MIPCOM. !mpossible is the supersized quiz with a supersized daily jackpot from the co-creator of The Weakest Link, whilst the entertaining survival show, Stupid Man, Smart Phone, follows a city-dwelling comedian and internet star attempt some of the world’s toughest outdoor adventures, with only a mobile phone to survive. I Spy takes a unique snapshot of the world as seen through the eyes of children, bringing their own brand of logic to focus on solving a task or problem. Fishing Impossible will be the catch of the season, as it follows three fishing fanatics embark on the ultimate extreme fishing trip where their skills are put to the test.

Heading up the scripted formats slate is Doctor Foster, the UK’s highest rated new drama in 2015.
