Martyna Wojciechowska named Programming Director of Travel Channel in Poland
Martyna Wojciechowska was announced the programming director of Travel Channel in Poland, with responsibility for the network’s programming strategy and its long-term development. Travel Channel, a Scripps Networks Interactive’s brand, has recently entered TVN’s portfolio, making TVN Group responsible for its distribution, ad sales and technical operations in Poland.

Martyna Wojciechowska has been with TVN since 1998. She created one of the most popular travel shows in Poland today, Kobieta na kra?cu ?wiata (8 seasons). First-run episodes of the programme are now available on Travel Channel. Earlier, Ms Wojciechowska hosted some other well-known formats, including Automaniak, Big Brother, Dzieciaki z klas? and the travel show Misja Martyna. Martyna tried her hand at documentary production as well. Ghost People (original title: Ludzie Duchy), her heart-breaking glimpse at the terrible fate of albinos in Tanzania was awarded the Golden Nymph during the 55th international Monte-Carlo Television Festival. For the last ten years Martyna also worked for National Geographic. For her work in the media industry, she received many accolades and titles, amongst them are Women of the Year in 2009 by Twój Styl magazine, the Personality of 2011 and 2014 in a poll by Polska Press and the Most Influential Women in media of 2014 (a poll by the Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza). Now it’s time for a new challenge. Martyna has been roaming the world in search of outstanding women, but she is also quite remarkable herself. With an infinite list of passions, ranging from motorbikes, through diving to mountaineering, she is always up for extreme challenges – she climbed the Seven Summits (Mount Everest in 2006), she was the first woman ever from South-Eastern Europe to complete the Paris–Dakar rally and she wrote 11 books.
