TVF International closes CEE deals
TVF International has shopped a range of programming to broadcasters in Hungary and Slovakia, while also continuing to expand its reach in Russia.
Viasat World picked up a package of fishing content including Monster Carp Series 1 (4x46), which takes viewers on an international hunt from Hungary to Japan in search of the world’s biggest carp, and competitive fishing format The Big Fish Off Series 1 and 2 (10x46), both from ITV4. They also took Season 5 of TV3’s Big Angry Fish. In another pan deal, AMC Networks Central Europe acquired a package including Jim Al-Khalili’s latest BBC documentary, The Amazing World of Gravity (2x45), which features access to laboratories where black holes are studied and where scientists conduct cutting-edge experiments to uncover the latest theories of the cosmos. They also picked up PBS’s Deepwater Horizon: Dispatches from the Gulf (1x57), the true story behind the Mark Wahlberg blockbuster film, as well as the current affairs series Danger Zone (7x30) from Channel News Asia and a raft of short form filler content spanning the home design and cooking genres. In Russia, Rossiya K bought Solar Superstorms (1x50) and Hubble’s Enduring Legacy (1x50), a duo of space exploration documentaries. Elsewhere in CEE, RTV Slovakia took The World From Above Seasons 1 to 9 (120x26), whilst Hungarian Origo secured a package of travel and lifestyle content. Included in this are Luxe Asia Series 1, 2 and 3 (24x30), commissioned by Channel News Asia, The Whale Whisperer (1x50), Wild Gibraltar (1x52) and the World From Above Series 8 (14x26). All sales were brokered by TVF International Senior Sales Executive for CEE and the Nordics, Lindsey Ayotte. RELATED
