Six new countries pick up Ay Yapim’s mega success Insider
Insider (Icerde) from Ay Yapim, the success of the season on Show TV in Turkey has now been picked up by six additional countries. Channels in Greece, India, Romania, Iran, Iraq and Albania have all inked deals with Eccho Rights, the show’s international distributor. The clients are Victory Media in Greece, Zee in India, Gem in Iran, Kurdmax in Iraq, Antena in Romania and TV Klan in Albania.
These follow earlier confirmed deals with Mega in Chile and Imedi in Georgia, while a further 20 deals are in negotiation for the series globally. Insider started its run in Turkey in September, and since the first episode, has increased the viewer share from 15% to a stable 30% share every week in the commercial demo. This is nearly 4 times the average share for Show TV in this demo and time slot. The series airs on Monday night among fierce competition from two returning dramas, Orphan Flowers (Kirgin Cicekler) on ATV, and Broken Pieces (Paramparca) on Star TV, as well as the hugely popular Turkish version of Survivor, which returned to TV8 in January. Insider is the story of two brothers separated as young children, who grow up to be moles acting on opposite sides of the law, each trying to catch the other before their personal lives catch up with them. Starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Aras Bulut İynemli and Çetin Tekindor, the series premiered in September 2016 on Show TV in Turkey. RELATED
