French distributor KABO International announced today a fresh deal in Ukraine which will see ICTV adapt their original format Cops on the Block for local audiences.

The series premiered in France on M6 in 2016 under the title Commissariat Central. The scripted series was developed by Pick’n Mix Format and saw 210 episodes of 4 minutes and will be back for a second season. The comedy revolves around the hilarious antics of Captain Campanella and his motley crew of cops as they try to enforce law and order in their town. When it comes to fulfilling their day-to-day duties, Campanella’s over-enthusiastic yet endearing team of recruits seem to lack experience often missing the mark resulting in hilarious outcomes.

“ICTV was looking for a new, fresh hit in scripted comedy, and having successfully worked together in the past on other comedy formats, we felt Cops on the Block was the perfect format for our schedule and our audience,” said Anastasiya Reznikova, head of development of content for ICTV.
