PITCH & PLAY 2017 winner Sounds of the Nation lands first international format deals #NATPEBudapest #PitchPlay
Global Agency has today announced that its brand new folklore music contest, Sounds of the Nation, has been acquired by Hervé Hubert for France and Antenna TV for Greece.
Sounds of the Nation won NATPE and CEETV’s pitching contest Pitch & Play LIVE under the title The Land is Singing last year. Following the win, the format was presented at NATPE Miami where it was picked up for international distribution by Global Agency. The Slovak original aired its second season this spring and the producers from Nunez NFE are already working on a third season. Izzet Pinto, Founder & CEO of Global Agency, commented: “Sounds of the Nation is the new feel good, uplifting and enriching singing talent format of the screen, where the customs and folklore unify generations of audiences together. The format is all about going back to the roots and showcasing the traditions to viewers from different backgrounds. When we first watched the show’s trailer, it really caught our attention and we believe that this format can be very successful anywhere it is aired on. We are so happy to be collaborating with Hervé Hubert for its French version and Antenna TV for Greek adaptation which I am pretty sure that they will produce great results.
