Antenna Group announces Besa crime drama cast and crew
Currently in production across south-eastern Europe, the twelve-part crime thriller Besa is directed by Dusan Lazarevic, originally from Serbia. Leading members of the multinational cast include Arben Bajraktaraj, a Kosovo-born French national, a familiar face to French cinema and TV audiences and also internationally; Rasa Bukvic from Serbia; Milos Timotijevic, also from Serbia; Lana Baric from Croatia and Sebastian Cavazza from Slovenia.
A 12x45’ crime series, Besa was commissioned by Antenna Group’s free-to-air channel PRVA in Serbia, Planet TV in Slovenia and RTL in Croatia. and tells a compelling story set in the world of the secretive and most feared criminal networks in the world – the Albanian mafia. Besa, the traditional Albanian word meaning a code of honor, keeping a promise, is about Uros, a family man who runs a small business in Belgrade; he kills a young woman in a road accident, but unfortunately for him she is the daughter of an extremely violent mafia boss, so Uros is forced into committing crimes for the organization in an effort to save the lives of his family. Besa is due to be aired at the end of September. Besa has been created and executive produced by Tony Jordan. The international premiere of Besa will be at MIPCOM in October 2018. Tatjana Pavlovic, Head of International Distribution at the Antenna Group, is already in discussion with several pan-territorial buyers for the series. RELATED
