CEETV is proud to announce the start of the first edition of CEE Screenings, a brand-new event aiming to promote the best fiction productions coming out of Central and Eastern Europe. CEE Screenings will offer a selection of high-quality scripted productions based on original ideas and created by local talent. We are kicking off CEE Screenings 2018 with a brand-new hit arriving from TVN in Poland. The Trap debuted with over 2.6 million viewers in its Sunday primetime slot this September. The crime series became one of the channel's most-watched premieres of the year and increasing the slot average by more than 80% in the target demo.

This is the story of Olga (Agata Kulesza, known from "Ida" Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film) who is a best-selling novel writer. After the death of her husband, she starts looking for inspiration for her new book and the mysterious disappearance in a children’s orphanage takes her to a place, where series of death threatening events mix with her dark past.

The CEE Screenings 2018 selection includes also: Rabies from the Czech Republic, Bitches from Estonia, Etudes on Freedom from Russia, Moms from Slovenia, Caviar from Russia, Souvenir from Odesa from Ukraine, On the Edge from Russia and Who Are You? from Ukraine.

CEE Screenings 2018 will be held between mid-September and MIPCOM, the biggest global TV marketplace of the year, with the goal to help CEE players to attract international interest to their latest scripted productions and increase the potential for new deals and partnerships.
