Madd Entertainment officially debuts at #MIPCOM
On the first day of MIPCOM 2018, Medyapım and Ay Yapım officially opened their one-stop shop for the very best in Turkish drama. Madd Entertainment is a joint venture of Medyapım and Ay Yapım and will act as the exclusive distributor for both studios from this point forward. Madd Entertainment not only brings all the best Turkish content under one roof, it provides a direct pipeline to the two most important producers in Turkish television, the company said in a press release.
“We’re more than a distributor.” said Madd Entertainment Managing Director Ateş İnce. “Our mandate is collaboration. We want to work with our broadcast partners to help position Turkish drama for maximum possible success.” Madd Entertainment enters the market with a powerful slate, including Medyapım’s new hit series My Little Girl and One Litre of Tears as well as Ay Yapım’s much-anticipated Crash, innovative new Super Series Phi and Persona. My Little Girl launched in September on Turkey’s TV8. One Litre of Tears recently debuted on Kanal D and Crash will debut this fall on Show TV. The new drama from Ay Yapım features Turkish megastar Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Elçin Sangu as old loves reunited by a terrible accident—just in time to save each others’ lives. The company also reports that new hit My Little Girl has attracted the interest of international buyers. “Interest in My Little Girl is running very high, and not just because it’s a strong story with the great ratings.” declared Özlem Özsümbül, Madd Entertainment’s Director of International Sales. “Beren Gökyıldız is adored around the world, and international audiences have loved Buğra Gülsoy for years.” RELATED
