Epic Drama expands with Magyar Telekom and Vidanet launches in Hungary
International media company Viasat World has further expanded the reach of its premium drama proposition, Epic Drama, in Hungary – following its launch on two top operator platforms in the market. Now available on both Magyar Telekom's and Vidanet's platforms, the unique period drama channel and SVOD service reaches over 50% of television subscribers in the Hungarian market overall, whilst across the CEE region it is now available to more than 10 million subscribers via over 60 operator partners.
Epic Drama joins Viasat History, Viasat Nature and Viasat Explore on Magyar Telekom and Vidanet's platforms – meaning all four of Viasat World's flagship channels are now broadcast with the largest operators in the market, as well as with many regional and local providers. Epic Drama went live to Magyar Telekom's IPTV, SAT, TV GO for Super Family/Családi HD and Super Family/Családi Mozi packages on 8 January, and 250 hours of SVOD content is also featured in the operator's monthly on-demand service, Moziklub, while Vidanet launched the channel on 9 January for subscribers to its family package. Tamas Horvath, Commercial Director at Viasat World, comments: "We pride ourselves on the close working relationship we have with operator partners, understanding their needs and those of the audience in the markets where we broadcast. We are delighted that Magyar Telekom and Vidanet have decided to extend their offering having seen how Epic Drama has resonated with viewers in Hungary over the last 12 months." Viasat World continues to negotiate deals with operator partners in the CEE region with the aim of further extending the reach of bold and lavish premium drama brand. RELATED
