Mediaset Distribution unveils NATPE Budapest slate
Mediaset Distribution is heading to NATPE Budapest with a rich lineup of dramas and telenovelas, including Kidnapped by Justice, The Silence of Water, Casa de Muñecos, La Isla Paraiso.
Kidnapped by Justice (6x50’), original title L’Amore Strappato, is based on a real story: in 1995 a 6-year-old girl is taken from her family, following a false accusation of abuse against her father. Legal complications will keep the girl away from her family for 10 long years and then justice if finally made. The series aired by Canale 5 in March, recorded more that 4 million viewers in primetime. The Silence of Water (8x50’) is a thriller series set in a quiet community by the sea shocked by the brutal murder of a 16 years girl. Investigation led by the local police inspector and by a homicide cop from another city reveals inner secrets and hidden connections among the people of the village. Casa de Muñecos - It’s Never Too Late to be Happy, (100x45’) a Chilean telenovela from the distributor MGE. An intense female series about 4 women and their mother who leaves her husband after 50 years of marriage and starts a new life. Isla Paraiso - Paradise Island, (132x45’) a Chilean telenovela from MGE about a woman whose life is turned down as she seems involved in a fraud. She takes refuge in the convent where her twin sister lives. By swapping her life with her twin sister, she will be involved in a new world and a mission to help other women to find and start a new life. Mediaset Distribution Head of Sales Manuela Caputi and MGE CEO Esperanza Garay will meet their clients at Viewing Box VB2 during the market that take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest from June 25th to June 27th to propose these new titles amongst others and also proposing a catalogue of unscripted formats, like Volveria con tu ex? (Would You Take Your Ex Back?) a reality series that sees 12 former couples getting back together in the same house and going through several challenges to to test themselves and maybe finding a second life chance. Mediaset Distribution represents MGE’s catalog in the CEE Regions while MGE distributes the Italian catalog in Latin America. RELATED
