HBO Europe confirms fall premiere for third season of Wataha
HBO Europe has confirmed a fall premiere and released the first-look teaser for the third season of hit Polish original Wataha, directed by Olga Chajdas and Kasia Adamik and starring Leszek Lichota and Aleksandra Popławska.
The third season unfolds as Border Guard officers detain two migrants trying to flee from Poland to Ukraine. Hot on their heels, Rebrow accidentally comes across a brutal crime scene. The scale and nature of it leaves Poland reeling. Markowski opens the investigation, while Rebrow asks Dobosz for help, suspecting that there may be more to the case. Climbing career ladders in Warsaw, Dobosz reluctantly returns to the Bieszczady Mountains. Season three writers are Piotr Szymanek (head writer), Katarzyna Tybinka and Marta Szymanek. Olga Chajdas and Kasia Adamic direct. Tomasz Augustynek and Tomasz Naumiuk are Directors of Photography. The cast is led by Leszek Lichota and Aleksandra Popławska, and co-stars Andrzej Zieliński, Dagmara Bąk, Maciej Mikołajczyk, Jacek Lenartowicz, Jarosław Boberek, Mariusz Saniternik, Andrzej Konopka and Piotr Żurawski. Recent newcomers to the cast are Borys Szyc and Russian actress Evgenia Akhremenko. Bogumił Lipski produces and Izabela Łopuch and Johnathan Young are Executive Producers for HBO Europe. Grzegorz Olkowski is the line producer. Andrzej Muszyński is the supervising producer for ATM Grupa. Wataha season 3 premieres this autumn day-and-date across HBO Europe territories.
