In the Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian forests there the partisans hope that with support from the Western world they could reclaim their lands, but this support is seemingly stalling. The British intelligence MI6 wishes to gain intel on what's inside the Soviet territory due to their fear of possible nuclear threat. MI6 recruit the Latvian migrant and former Legionary Vitolds and send him on a mission to Latvia. Vitolds is told his mission is to help the partisans but in reality the MI6 just want intel on the state of the country. Meanwhile, the KGB know about the British plans and create a false network of partisans and Vitolds is unaware that he has landed in a KGB trap. This creates a complex game between MI6 and the KGB.
