ORF buys Russian animated series Pincode #MIPCOM
International production and distribution company FUN Union announced an agreement with the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF, the largest media holding in the country, to air the first season of Pincode series. The deal was signed with the assistance from German production and distribution company Studio 100 Media GmbH.
The first season of the animated project Pincode (rights holder Riki Group), which consists of 52 13-minute episodes, will premiere in Austria in 2020. It will air in German. Pincode is an edutainment spin-off of Kikoriki series which engages the kids to explore the world of innovations, technology and discoveries. In pursuit of scientific knowledge, the team travels the universe in their unique exploration vehicle, the Umflier, which can move them in time, space, volume and dimension. From underwater troublesome fun to shrinking to the size of an atom, the crew follow Captain Pin as they learn about the world we share. Pincode is present in over 50 countries, and the number of views on YouTube exceeds one billion. The GM of FUN Union Diana Yurinova said that Pincode has shown great results in Germany, therefore she is happy that it expands presence in German-speaking territories. Dorian Bur, the Head of International Distribution of Studio 100 Media commented that Pincode will not only launch on ORF, but also on the pay TV channel of Studio 100 Media – Junior (Sky). RELATED
