MGU sells content to Lietuvos Rytas TV
Media Group Ukraine’s distribution team has concluded several agreements with the Lithuanian broadcaster Lietuvos Rytas TV licensing several titles of own production.
The first season of the documentary reality show Story of a Crime was recently aired on the channel, while the series Unexpected Justice will launch soon. Iryna Chernyak, Director of Television Content Sales Department of Media Group Ukraine and Head of Programming Product Acquisition, commented: “There has been a significant rise in the interest towards Ukrainian content in the Baltic countries, Lithuania in particular. We are glad that our films and series are in demand among local viewers. We are happy to cooperate with Lietuvos Rytas TV and hope the channel’s viewers will love our projects since Media Group Ukraine has various products for all kinds of audiences.” Audrius Siaurusevičius, Head of Lietuvos Rytas TV, said: “We purchased packages of different types of TV series – an action/detective Unexpected Justice as well as restorative criminal documentary Story of a Crime. Both TV series are becoming more and more popular among our viewers. We are happy about the opportunity to collaborate with Ukraine media group not only because of high quality production that is valued by Lietuvos Rytas TV viewers, but also due to connected Lithuanian and Ukrainian history. I think that is one of the reasons why Story of a Crime draws a lot of viewers' attention. After all, both countries know well enough what the 90's mean and what was going on in our countries during the years if independence restoration.” RELATED
