United Group makes multi-million donations to fight coronavirus
In the spirit of solidarity with the COVID-19 pandemic, the telecommunications provider United Group is planning to donate $3 million worth of medical equipment and money to the 7 countries in the region, where it operates, Dnevnik.hr informs.
Croatia has ordered 5.600 top-quality test kits, 7 mechanical ventilators (surgical respirators), 150.000 masks, 280 thermometers and 4000 protective glasses worth $500.000. All medical equipment was ordered and paid for as early as March 15 and at the delivery organization, which started this week, United Group co-operated with all governments in the region. In days like these, when everyone is in desperate need of courage and support, United Group would like to make it easier for the medical professionals to do their job and provide additional security to the Croatian citizens, so that they can all get thru one of the biggest health crises as soon as possible. In the wake of the pandemic, which forced many people to stay at home, United Group unlocked more TV channels on its licensed platforms throughout the region, believing it's crucial that we all stand up in solidarity and that any support for the people across the region is vital. United Group is the leading provider of telecommunications and media services in South-East Europe. As part of the leading international investment group, BC Partners, it operates in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.
