Belarusian Premier League to stream in 46 countries
 15 Apr 2020
The Belarus Football Federation (ABFF), the national soccer body, has agreed a deal with Israel-based automated video solutions company WSC Sports designed to bolster digital content from the Vysheyshaya Liga domestic top flight, SportsPro Media reports.

While the Belarussian top tier remains one of a handful of leagues worldwide still in operation, the ABFF is bidding to maximize its exposure by using WSC Sports’ video analysis, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities for automated video production, as well as distribution, of highlights.

The league has secured a number of broadcast partnerships since the start of March with its matches still taking place despite the near-worldwide coronavirus-enforced shutdown of sport.

Aside from the previously reported broadcast contracts, the ABFF’s international rights distribution partner GreenFieldSolutions has also agreed Vysheyshaya Liga highlights deals with German broadcasters Sky Deutschland, ARD and ZDF, with reports of further interest from broadcasters in need of content.

According to Sportcal, Content Arena, the online sports rights trading service, added number of rights packages for the Belarus Cup semi-finals and final to its platform with streaming company Mycujoo later picking up a 47-territory deal for the knockout tournament.

Initially, the over-the-top (OTT) service reached an agreement with the ABFF to stream the semi-final matches from the Belarus Cup on a pay-per-view (PPV) basis, although Mycujoo is apparently considering an extension to include final on 24th May. Mycujoo later added a deal for matches from round four of the Vysheyshaya Liga, making games available for free in 46 countries.

The Vysheyshaya Liga streams have been available to betting operators through its gambling industry deal with IMG, with Feedconstruct recently securing an exclusive deal for its data rights.

The streaming platform is one of very few sports media companies carrying live content currently. Mycujoo also recently announced an expanded deal with Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) to broadcast more fixtures from its top-tier Higher League.
