KMW holds Global Marathon in one day
Kyiv Media Week will hold a Global Marathon on September 14. The 10th anniversary of the main media industry event of Ukraine and the region will take place in the format of an international online marathon dedicated to trends and prospects of the Ukrainian and global audiovisual market.
KMW Global Marathon will present exclusive analytical reviews of the world’s largest markets from Asia to South America prepared by the leading international agencies. There will be panel discussions featuring representatives of top Ukrainian and international media companies; live streams with renowned experts from across the world; inspiration talks with industry headliners. Participation in KMW GM is free. Moreover, after the event all registered attendees will receive a handy white paper with analytical researches and reviews on Ukrainian and global audiovisual industry developed exclusively for KMW GM. Kateryna Udut, MRM CEO: “This year KMW is held for the tenth year in a row, and we planned to make it especially large-scale by gathering friends and partners from all over the world in Kyiv to celebrate our anniversary. However, we have to contend with reality, and like most industry platforms, we go online, transforming the format and program of the forum due to the new challenges. KMW’s mission remains unchanged: the development of the Ukrainian media industry and the establishment of cooperation between top players of media market from around the world. The concept of Global Marathon is also chosen deliberately. Within one day, we plan step by step, moving with the sun around the globe and enlisting the unique expertise of our partners, to learn about the media market in different parts of the world: Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Western Europe and the UK, USA and Canada, Latin America… Would it be possible to make such a trip in one day in the ordinary circumstances? Indeed, the industry is going through hard times now, but we can join forces with colleagues from all the continents to discuss and find anti-crisis solutions. Therefore, I invite everyone to join the KMW Global Marathon. I would also like to express my special gratitude to the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, thanks to their support this year's forum will be virtually open to anyone and absolutely free of charge.” Yulia Fediv, UCF Executive Director: “The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation supports Kyiv Media Week within the framework of the Prominent Events Program. In fact, this is the real scope of the forum, because for ten years it has been setting trends, cutting across a range of key issues, gathering a wide fold of audiovisual industry players. Being a state institution, we are interested in the opinions of Kyiv Media Week participants on overcoming the global crisis that has befallen the cultural and creative industries. I am sure that we will hear a lot of original ideas that will become the basis for further effective decisions”. RELATED
