PITCH & PLAY LIVE! jurors point to the great potential of this year’s winning format
This year’s winner of the PITCH & PLAY LIVE! format contest, organized by NATPE and CEETV, has great potential to travel internationally, according to the members of the jury who we asked for a brief comment on this year’s event which was held online.
Izzet Pinto, Founder and CEO of Global Agency, commented: “I was honored to be a jury on the 5th edition of PITCH & PLAY LIVE! Even though we didn't have a chance to meet the creators in person, it was important to have this even digitally in order to feel the spirit of the entertainment industry. The decision over the selection of the winning format was a tough one. All had unique strengths but at the end I decided to vote for a family entertainment show. I believe the project has an international potential.” Taliah Shahar, Head of International Sales, Acquisitions and Partnerships at United Studios of Israel, added: “Kudos to the finalist, they are all impressive in their own way. Fashion Designers provided a unique and cost-effective way to bring the TV world to the real world, by having the designs made on the show available on the website the next day. Made in Quarantine took Covid lockdown lemons and made delicious lemonade out of them, lifting the nation’s spirit in a difficult time by showcasing home-bound talent from across the country. And the winner, Children vs. Adults, is a lovely family show that gives children the opportunity to outsmart the elders. It’s a timeless format that can travel well.” Daiva Andrade Gonzalez, Senior Content Acquisitions Manager at TV3 Group, concluded: Thank you all! It was a great honor and fun to take part in this extraordinary and very well organized event! Congratulations to NATPE and CEETV! I hope soon we will be able to see each other in upcoming real live NATPE markets!” Diana Yurinova, producer of the winning format, commented: “Children vs. Adults is one of the most successful family shows on CTC, and one of my favorites. It is both humorous, even a little rascal, and educational. I associate myself more with the children’s team. For me, participating in PITCH & PLAY LIVE! was a great opportunity to draw the attention of the international TV market players to this format just ahead of the release of the second season. I would like to thank the organizers, jurors and pitching competitors for the excellent organization and friendly atmosphere.” RELATED
