KMW's Global Marathon attracts 3000 online viewers
On September 14, 2020, the largest annual media forum in Eastern Europe KYIV MEDIA WEEK Global Marathon was held for the tenth time. The event brought together 36 representatives of international media companies from 23 countries, who shared their unique experience exclusively with KMW viewers. The forum was held online - 9 hours of live broadcast, 10 regional analytical sections and 3 inspiration talks with the participation of stars of the content industry. KMW gathered a record number of participants - almost 3.000 viewers from 52 countries registered to watch the broadcast.
In October, all registered KMW Global Marathon participants will receive a White Paper - a post-review document that will gather the most interesting information, conclusions of presentations and discussions of regional sections, as well as research results from international and local agencies conducted specifically for KMW. The KYIV MEDIA WEEK program began with an analytical review of the Ukrainian media industry, key events, cases and the latest indicators from the partner of the Media Business Reports (MBR) forum, a leading Ukrainian information-analytical publication on the media business and audiovisual industry. The speakers discussed topical issues regarding the prospects for the development of the Ukrainian media industry, ways to unite all players in a single development strategy and ways to build an effective system of relations between them. They also focused on an important aspect of shaping Ukraine's successful value proposition for the global market. The review of global trends in the audiovisual industry began in the Asian region. The section included a panel discussion on the COVID crisis, its impact on market performance and the general shift in the cinema and television sectors. The third part of the program was the star inspiration talk "2020: A New "Golden Age "of Non-Game Formats" with Nathalie Wogue, an international expert on entertainment formats and media strategies. Next in the focus of attention - the media markets of Eastern Europe. The next topic in the KMW Global Marathon program was "Global trends in the content industry." Central and Western Europe and the United Kingdom became the next review region of the forum. The next major thematic block was an analytical review and panel discussion focusing on the US and Canadian media industries. Another inspirational talk program of the KMW Global Marathon was dedicated to the connection of new technologies and art, including audiovisual. The star guest of the forum, Tupac Martir, spoke about the nature of creativity and the place of innovation; how VR, AR, holograms, artificial intelligence are becoming tools for creativity and how artists are inventing new technologies. On the example of his project "Cosmos Within Us", which was presented at the Venice Film Festival, Tupac outlined new opportunities for creators for the future, which would provide viewers and participants with unique experiences and experiences. The interviewer was Andriy Babkin, a creative producer of projects in the field of communications and entertainment events. The final block of the KMW Global Marathon program was the presentation of the section "Latin America - a space of opportunity: from telenovelas to a wide variety of content." RELATED
