The revolution of 1848 divided Hungary. Some saw the future of the country in cooperation with the Habsburg dynasty, the Emperor of Austria, while others didn’t want to stop before a total Hungarian independence. Almost twenty years later, in 1865, in an apparently peaceful small town in the countryside, two men find themselves on the opposing sides of the debate that still exists. With the help of the richest noble family the railroad through the town is being built, in which some see progress, others see surrender. At the same time the rebellious daughter of the noble family also feels trapped by society’s expectations. She hopes to become more than what her parents would allow but doesn’t find the man with whom she can truly flourish. When their paths cross, the two men need to fight for not only the fate of their country but also for the love of the noble girl. “Land of the Brave” is an original telenovela of 80 one-hour long episodes, shot on beautiful locations. A timeless love story, but the stakes are higher from the beginning. The fight between the two young men and their struggle to conquer the girl provides continuous excitement and a series of real clashes. They prove to be worthy opponents both emotionally and physically, and when we think one of them has finally won, a new battlefield opens to continue their struggle. Similarly, the story of the noble girl is more than just her cravings for love. We see her breaking all the rules to finally reach true happiness.
