Hoplite Entertainment strikes first deal with puhutv
Los Angeles based Hoplite Entertainment and Istanbul based Lucid Dream Entertainment can reveal they’ve struck a deal that will bring four of Hoplite Entertainment’s shows to the Turkish airwaves.
The agreement includes Drone Wars, a fast paced reality competition series with an international footprint, where teams build high tech drones and perform challenging stunts; Atlantic Jellymen, a ground-breaking docu-series where an elite team of fishermen off the coast of the Carolinas in the U.S. battle the elements to catch and take to market the elusive “Jellyballs” considered a culinary delicacy in Asia; Geared Up, a series about cool custom restorations of vintage cars in Los Angeles, CA; and Master of Disaster a docu-series where a team of compassionate experts swoop in to rescue victims and help them recover after natural disasters strike and the first responders teams have left. "In Turkey, all platforms and channels focus more on female audience skewed content and there is a need for factual programming, docs and male skewed content in general; The Hoplite Entertainment catalogue perfectly meets these needs with its content. puhutv pioneered many firsts in Turkey and we are happy to see Hoplite Entertainment’s first foray into Turkey on such an innovative platform," said Lucid Dream Entertainment GM Nilufer Kuyel. Each series serves up 10 to 12 exciting episodes per season, with concepts ranging from automotive to fishing. Drone Wars premiered on puhutv this weekend, with the others to follow later. "As puhutv, we are thrilled to bring Hoplite Productions together to our audiences. We're sure that these Hoplite Entertainment titles will add splendid color to our already colorful puhutv where daily trends and diverse perspectives meet,” said Anıl Tashan, Project & Business Development Manager. “At Hoplite we have great premium finished and formatted content and we are excited to see our content start to travel and our footprint expand in the global marketplace. We’re very proud of our first deal in Turkey to be with puhutv and we thank puhutv for their trust, and our hope is to establish a long-term partnership, where we can develop and produce content, and share more with them as our Turkish partners,” said Hoplite EVP Global Levina Negi.
