Poland's Emitel suspends IPO preparations again
Polish broadcast infrastructure company Emitel has requested that its planned initial public offering be suspended, Poland's financial market regulator (KNF) confirmed on Friday. This is the second time the company's plans to list have been halted, Reuters reports.
Emitel had suspended its preparations for an IPO last year as the coronavirus pandemic broke out, but restarted the process in January, when IPOs in Europe kicked off as issuers wanted to make up for a quiet 2020. In January a source told Reuters that Emitel was valued at around 1 billion euros. Emitel's major shareholder is Alinda Capital Partners, which bought Emitel in 2014 from Montagu Private Equity for an estimated 840 million euros. KNF told Reuters that the process was suspended at Emitel's request, after having initially announced the suspension on its website. RELATED
