NTV sells series to Air France, TVP and Helio Media
As a result of a transaction between NTV and Ampersand Fiction, a French distributor of TV series content, the action-packed projects Murderous Fervor, Casting Lady Justice and Missing will be aired in Europe. Broadcasting rights were assigned to Air France, TVP VOD and Latvia's Helio Media.
Air France, one of the largest global air carriers, has acquired VOD rights to air the Casting Lady Justice crime series on board of their planes. The NTV Russia series will be included in the inflight entertainment accessible for Air France passengers to watch on multimedia displays. Currently, there are more than 1500 hours of content in the air carrier’s archive, including movies, series, documentaries, animation and music albums. The company partners with many global majors, such as Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, Disney, and Sony Pictures. TVP VOD – the online resource of TVP/Telewizja Polska, the largest broadcaster in Poland – has bought Internet rights to the Murderous Fervor period crime series in Poland. The NTV series will be available for the platform users in the foreign content collection along with BBC, TF1, Sky Italia and other shows. SIA Helio Media, a major Latvian media holding, has bought all three projects of the NTV–Ampersand Fiction deal to be aired in Latvia. The series will be aired on 8TV, a free Russian-language channel. “We are happy that several European countries at once will see our projects. NTV has already gained big audience of loyal viewers on the Latvian media market, since we sold more than 180 content hours to the Baltics in 2020 alone. The deals made by Ampersand Fiction with Air France and the Polish platform TVP VOD expand the distribution geography of NTV series and diversify the availability rates,” says Timur Weinstein, NTV General Producer. “We see that recently the demand for action-packed entertainment content has grown, and NTV's series are the best match for it. Three NTV projects were included in our distribution portfolio a year ago and I am glad that they are resonating with the European audience”, says Mathurin Beauvert, Ampersand Fiction’s Head of Sales.
