Sony and WarnerMedia extend CEE film deal
Sony Pictures Television and WarnerMedia announced an extension of their content agreement for Central and Eastern Europe, targeting the new Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) titles that will be broadcast exclusively on the HBO channels and will be available on HBO Max throughout the region.
The list includes the biggest and most anticipated blockbusters, including "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", "Unchartered", "Morbius" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" - a title that in December grossed $1.7 billion globally at launch, the third largest box office opening in history. Also included are critically acclaimed titles such as "Happiest Season," "The Broken Hearts Gallery," "Monster Hunter," and "The Father," along with a host of other films. of the most popular SPE franchises, including: "Hotel Transylvania", "Peter Rabbit" and "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway", "Spider-Man: Homecoming", "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" series, "Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2" and "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle". The agreement covers the territories of Central and Eastern Europe, bringing these SPE titles to Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia. HBO Max will replace HBO GO on March 8.
