Belsat retransmits Ukrainian TV channels’ marathon
From the first day of the war, Belsat TV, a subsidiary of Polish pubcaster TVP, changed its broadcasting schedule and broadcasts a special program dedicated to the resistance of Ukrainians to Russian aggression.
Every day from 6.00 to 22.00 Kyiv time the channel informs non-stop about the situation in Ukraine, about the reaction of the international community to the aggression of the Russian Federation. Also during the broadcast of Belsat TV, viewers can learn about the Belarusians who joined the ranks of defenders of Ukraine. The joint broadcast of Ukrainian channels is broadcast from 12.00 to 18.00. "As a sign of solidarity with the courageous Ukrainian people, we give the most valuable thing that is on television - our broadcast time. We want our audience in Belarus to know the truth, and our audience in Ukraine to understand that today a huge number of Belarusians not only fight for Ukraine, but also help as volunteers," said Oleksiy Dikavytskyi, Belsat Deputy Director. Belsat TV continues to broadcast from Ukraine. Its correspondents remain there, in particular in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv. Belsat is the only free Belarusian TV channel, operating from Poland and aimed at Belarusian TV audiences. Four Belsat employees are in prison under the Lukashenko regime for their journalistic activities. The channel's representative office has been operating in Kyiv since 2018, and the production of separate television programs has started in 2021. RELATED
