TVN and Polska Akcja Humanitarna team up for charity
TVN Discovery and Polska Akcja Humanitarna (PAH) have collaborated to help those fleeing the war and those still in need of support in Ukraine. The group, as a media patron, will support PAH in the long-term collection of funds for aid activities that will be of key importance in the coming months. Viewers will be encouraged to support the Polish Humanitarian Action both through television programs and social announcements on the Group's stations, as well as online channels.
Experts of the Polish Humanitarian Action will regularly visit TVN Discovery to share their knowledge about the situation of refugees in Poland, their current needs and educate them on how to help wisely. Since the beginning of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, over a million people have crossed the Polish border from the war-affected country. It is estimated that already over 2 million people have crossed the borders of Ukraine with neighboring countries, and another million have been displaced inside the country. According to the United Nations, at least 12 million people are in need of humanitarian aid in Ukraine. Organized and long-term help is necessary to meet the basic needs of the victims of this war.
