Hacked Ukraine 24 news ticker showed a fake about "Zelensky's capitulation"
On March 16, hackers managed to hijack the news feed ticker of Ukraine 24 and published a fake report allegedly from President Volodymyr Zelensky about his "surrender". The president later recorded a video address and asked the Russians to lay down their arms themselves.
“The news ticker of Ukraine 24 was hacked by hostile hackers and Zelensky's reports about the alleged "capitulation" were broadcast. This is a fake! Friends, we have repeatedly warned about this. Nobody is going to give up. Moreover, in conditions when the Russian army is defeated in battles with the Ukrainian army," the channel later reported. The Segodnya.ua website was temporarily down after the hacking attempts. Volodymyr Zelensky called this fake a "childish provocation". "Regarding the latest childish provocation where I allegedly offered to lay down my arms - I can offer to lay down arms only to the military of the Russian Federation - and return home. We are at home, we protect our land, our children, our families. Therefore, we are not going to lay down any weapons until our victory," Zelensky said. RELATED
