Eurosport ends its broadcasts in Russian in April
Eurosport will stop broadcasting in Russian in April. The Russian editorial office of Eurosport stops operation and dismisses employees without any hint of a resumption of cooperation.
"That's all! Our Eurosport is closed. The last day of broadcasting is April 15. The entire staff is being let go… I didn’t think my career would end like this,” commentator Vladimir Sinitsin wrote on his Twitter. He worked at the Eurosport channel for more than 20 years - the first broadcast of a snooker match, commented by Sinitsin, aired on the channel in 2000. Previously, Discovery announced suspension of the broadcast of its channels in Russia. In addition to Eurosport, these are Discovery Channel, TLC, Food Network, Animal Planet and others. RELATED
