Ukraine’s Espresso TV and Rada TV available in Romania
Two Ukrainian television nets can be retransmitted by Romanian cable companies without asking for agreements, according to a decision of the National Audiovisual Council (CNA). Those are Rada TV and Espresso TV.
After the request was discussed at the CNA meeting on Thursday, as is the procedure, the audiovisual forum informed all the cable companies that "they can retransmit the two stations without requesting retransmission agreements from Rada TV and Espresso." Rada TV is the official channel of the Ukrainian parliament, financed from the state budget. Launched in 1998 as a channel that exclusively aired Parliamentary sittings, Rada became a 24-hour news television station in December 2021. Espresso TV is a private television station that started broadcasting in November 2013. It was the television net that broadcast online, all over the world, the events during the Euromaidan, the pro-European protests in November 2013. RELATED
