TVR and Red Cross raise over 4 million euros for Ukraine
The business community has donated over 4 million euros in money and products to help the Ukrainian people this week. Live on TVR1, in a special edition of Referendum, presented by Iuliana Tudor and Mihai Rădulescu, over 40 companies provided humanitarian materials and money to help people affected by the war in Ukraine.
On Monday, March 28, at 21.10, TVR hosted the large humanitarian event, organized in partnership with the Romanian Red Cross, as part of the "Humanity Has No Borders" campaign, which the Red Cross has started since the beginning of the conflict in the neighboring country. During the special edition of Referendum, as well as in the period preceding it, the business community donated no less than 4.134.000 euros to the Romanian Red Cross, in money and products, to help the Ukrainian people. "After the live marathon, TVR's special program in support of the Romanian Red Cross campaign “Humanity Has No Borders” has achieved its goal! The total donations to the Romanian Red Cross, especially from large companies, were over 4.100.000 euros, in money and products! An impressive amount, which will be used to help those affected by the conflict in Ukraine, refugees and especially civilians still under bombardment. Thanks to all the donors! Thanks to Romanian Television! Thanks to my colleague Mihai Rădulescu and to the show 'Referendum'! Thank you, our dear volunteers, tireless in building the History of the Good day after day! I'm bowing! The campaign continues!" - said Iuliana Tudor, TVR star and ambassador of the Romanian Red Cross. Romanians abroad were also connected to the example of humanity offered during the humanitarian event on Monday evening, which was broadcast simultaneously on TVR Moldova and TVR International.
