Seznam owner donates CZK 100 million to the Ukrainian army
Ivo Lukacovic, one of the richest Czech entrepreneurs, the founder and owner of the online portal Seznam.cz, which is the main search engine resource in the Czech Republic, has announced a donation of 100 million Czech crowns (over $4 million) for weapons for the Ukrainian armed forces.
He wrote on Twitter that he took this decision after seeing images from the Bucha massacre. “The sooner these Russian headless people break down, the more innocent children, women and civilians will be saved." According to Forbes magazine, Ivo Lukacovic is the 15th richest man in the Czech Republic with assets of about $350 million. The Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic has already thanked for this act. "It is very important. It is not enough to talk about Russia's war crimes in Ukraine. We need to strengthen our defenders as much as possible so that they liberate all Ukrainian cities from the occupiers as soon as possible,” the Ukrainian diplomats said in a statement. RELATED
