RTVS sends TV equipment aid to UA:PBC
RTVS will lend approximately 15.000 euros of broadcasting equipment to a branch of the public Ukrainian television and radio company UA:PBC (Suspilne) in Uzhhorod. The technology will allow Ukrainian television to set up a temporary studio with the possibility of broadcasting. Jaroslav Rezník, General Director of RTVS, announced this at Thursday's meeting of the RTVS Council.
"Once we were approached by our Ukrainian partner, we did not hesitate for a moment and we automatically looked for ways to help as quickly as possible. I am very glad that we managed to prepare the necessary technical equipment for sending to Uzhhorod in a short time," said Reznik. RTVS has already taken measures in the previous period to help Ukraine and its people affected by the invasion of the Russian army. It provides refugees who are seeking refuge in Slovakia before the war, with up-to-date information in the Ukrainian language, as well as the capacity of its accommodation facility in Liptovský Ján. "The facility in Liptovský Ján currently accommodates 22 people, women and children from Ukraine. RTVS also provides meals and care for volunteers through volunteers. We have also strengthened the internet connection so that accommodated children can complete distance education. We also organize leisure time activities for them," said RTVS spokeswoman Andrea Pivarčiová. RELATED
