RT, Sputnik, other Russian media banned in Albania
Albania has stopped broadcasting Russian media on digital platforms, according to the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine. The country's regulatory body, the AMA, briefed local media on ethical rules and caution in using pro-Russian information. In cooperation with the Regulator for Electronic Telecommunications and Postal Services of Albania (ACER), they took measures to immediately close the RT - Russia Today and Sputnik domains.
On March 2, the EU announced the blocking of RT and Sputnik's broadcasts due to systematic manipulation of information and misinformation. In March, the British regulator Ofcom revoked the RT license. And before that, the Russian propaganda channel disappeared from broadcasting platforms in the UK. In Switzerland, online providers remove RT from their packages. Canada also banned the broadcast of the Kremlin RT and RT France. RELATED
