Chrysalis renewed for third season on Kanal D
Chrysalis, the hit drama series from producers OGM Pictures in Turkey, has been renewed for a third season. The series, currently airing its second season on Kanal D, has been one of the most popular dramas each week in Turkey since its launch in April 2021, regularly winning a fiercely fought Thursday primetime slot. Chrysalis will return for its third season in the autumn, Eccho Rights confirmed today.
“In the highly competitive premium Turkish Drama market, a third season commission is rare, and therefore testament to the quality of Chrysalis, a series with beautiful production values, that is well written and has stunning performances from its central cast,” said Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at international distributor Eccho Rights. Chrysalis (original title: Camdaki Kiz) has already been licensed to broadcasters in more than 40 territories around the world, including Spain, South Africa, a raft of Eastern European territories and throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Last December, Chrysalis won Turkey’s most prestigious media prize, the Golden Butterfly for Best Television Drama.
