75% of Ukrainians trust the United News marathon
 25 May 2022
91% of Ukrainian citizens know about the United News marathon, 75% of them trust it as a source of information, according to a poll by Gradus Research Company.

The company conducted the second stage of the study of the media space of war at the request of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine. Its results tell us how Ukrainians currently consume the news that TV channels watch and whether they trust the sources of information.

The sample included citizens who stayed at home, moved within Ukraine, and went abroad. Among the residents of cities with a population of more than 50.000, the marathon viewers are 7.88 million Ukrainians, and almost all of them - 7.83 million - trust United News.

At the same time, 2.98 million people watch the marathon every day. In settlements with less than 50.000 inhabitants, the telethon is watched by 10.52 million Ukrainians, 5.94 million citizens of our country watch it every day, and 9.97 million people trust it.

Most viewers watch the marathon on television, about a quarter of those polled - on YouTube, about half a million - in the application Diia.

The highest level of trust in the joint telethon among viewers in Ukraine is up to 80%. The lowest - among those who went abroad - 67%. Ukrainians watch the marathon mostly on the 1+1 TV channel (46%). 29% of the audience prefer ICTV, 24% - Ukraine 24, and 19% - Ukraina.

The most popular sources of news about Ukraine, according to the study, are social networks and Internet sites. Television (both national and local) and radio mainly serve as sources of information for respondents who remained in Ukraine.

Those who have gone abroad consume less news and use fewer sources.

In general, 77% of all respondents receive information from social networks, 60% - from Internet sites. 42% watch national television, 37% learn about events from friends, relatives, acquaintances, colleagues. 16% of citizens watch local and regional television, 13% listen to the radio.

The poll was conducted May 12-16 covering 2500 people. Gradus Research Company used the method of self-completion of questionnaires in a mobile application.
