Verkhovna Rada extends the powers of broadcasting regulator
The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 7345 on the special powers of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting during the war. The document should resolve issues with the granting and termination of licenses and permits, prosecution during martial law, etc.
The law stipulates that in case of repeated violation of restrictions on hostile content, the National Council will refer to the military command. Also, the National Council is exempted from paying court fees during martial law. Previously, the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy recommended adopting the document in the second reading and as a whole. RELATED
