Ukraine calls on IBC participants to terminate business with Russia
Ukraine’s National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting appealed to the participants of the largest European forum of television and radio equipment technologies - the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), to discontinue business with companies from the Russian Federation.
Thanks to technology, Russian propaganda crosses borders, the representatives of the National Council reminded. "Television and radio equipment is constantly used by Russia for a purpose that fundamentally contradicts humanitarian principles. The production of Russian media companies, which is still produced on your equipment, serves the most terrible plans of the Kremlin propaganda, aimed at distorting reality, zombifying the 140 million population of Russia and turning its citizens into instruments of murder," said the appeal signed by Valentin Koval. As the representatives of the National Council emphasized, ending any support for Russian media companies and disconnecting them from online license verification will help the information space to be cleared faster, and people - to receive truly honest and professional information, and not propaganda of murder and destruction. Leading manufacturers of equipment for television and radio production should terminate all contracts with television and radio companies of the Russian Federation, representatives of the National Council said.
