1+1 fights Russian propaganda with new YouTube project
The team of the producer and the author of the 1+1 historical cycle Ukraine. Returning Its History on Akim Galimov, together with the Austrian historian Gregor Rozumovskyi, have started work on a new English-language project.
The Power of Reason is a series of 10-minute analytical videos for YouTube. In each episode, 5 facts on a certain topic will be highlighted, which will debunk the fakes spread by the Kremlin, namely information that significantly affects EU citizens and forces European politicians to make decisions in favor of Russia. In the first series, the authors reveal the topic of fuel blackmail from the Kremlin and the validity of dire predictions about the cold winter of 2023. European viewers will be told what absurd fakes Russia invents, spreading them with the help of pro-Russian mass media in order to sow doubts among Europeans, undermine trust in local institutions, and increase tension in society. The new project will also tell what the nuclear threats of the aggressor state are based on and whether the West is really weak against Russian nuclear weapons. The leader and author of the project is Gregor Rozumovskyi, an Austrian historian with Ukrainian roots, a descendant of the last Ukrainian hetman, Kyrylo Rozumovskyi. Count Rozumovskyi is a specialist in countering propaganda and disinformation, for the past 20 years he has held responsible positions in international political information campaigns and is considered one of the leading analysts in the field of communications and information flows in German-speaking EU countries. "Our team has been fighting Russian fakes and propaganda for 6 years, before that our projects were aimed at the Ukrainian audience. Now there is an understanding that we should simply and affordably expose Russian manipulations to ordinary people in the EU. Those who then vote and elect the government there. Many in the EU do not understand the dangers of Russia and how strongly the Kremlin influences public sentiment in Europe. The idea of the project arose from this. I am sure of the result, because a powerful team is working on the project: Volodia Moskalets, Lesia Shtogrin and, of course, Gregor himself," commented Akim Galimov, producer of The Power of Reason. The premiere of the project will take place in November on the YouTube channel The Power of Reason. New episodes of the project can be seen every Friday at 19:00. The videos will be available with Ukrainian subtitles. RELATED
