Love Nature expands reach in Romania with DIGI deal
Love Nature, a wildlife and nature brand with linear and streaming channels available in over 300 countries, announces today its launch on leading Romanian pay TV platform DIGI. The deal, which expands Love Nature’s reach in Romania, will give DIGI’s audiences access to the channel’s wildlife and nature series and documentaries in stunning 4K and fully localised with Romanian subtitles. The deal points to Love Nature’s ongoing growth in the region with recent launches on Orange Romania, Focus Sat and the iNES Group.
"The Romanian market has a fast growing appetite for dynamic 4K content that is remarkable both editorially and visually," says Chiara Mckee, VP, EMEA Love Nature. "Launching on Romania's incumbent PayTV platform DIGI (RCS & RDS) allows us to share Love Nature's line-up of fascinating nature and wildlife stories with a much wider Romanian audience and is a significant event in Love Nature's continued European expansion." Love Nature programming highlights on DIGI will include Planet Shark (3 x 60’), which reveals new scientific discoveries and incredible footage of one of the most mysterious and ancient predators on the planet—sharks; Becoming Orangutan (3 x 60′) a mini-series featuring the irresistible primates at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation as they learn how to survive in the wild; New Kids in the Wild (5 x 60’), a fascinating look at the first crucial months in the lives of five baby animals; and Battle of the Alphas (12 x 30’), which explores the science behind animal conflict, from turf wars to mating mayhem as animals go head to head in an epic battle for supremacy. Additionally, in December, the channel will premiere just-announced series Chasing the Rains (4 x 60’) an epic four-part series, narrated by award-winning actor, Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton), that takes audiences on a journey into one of the most majestic areas in Africa for an indepth look at the wildlife that struggle to survive through cycles of drought and dramatic rainfall, and Wildlife ER (6 x 60’), a heartwarming series that follows dedicated professionals and volunteers on the front lines of rescuing and caring for sick and injured wild animals in Australia’s busiest wildlife hospital.
