Dori Media announces fresh Power Couple deals in CEE
Dori Media Group’s reality format Power Couple continues to resonate with audiences worldwide, scoring multiple deals for new adaptations, as well as new season renewals in various territories, the distributor announced today.
Originally created by Abot Hameiri, the award-winning format premiered in Israel in 2014 and has been sold to over 15 countries with leading ratings worldwide. Season 6 of the Hungarian adaptation aired with huge success in 2022 and attained a high viewership share of 22% on RTL and will be coming back with a new season. RTL Croatia, now part of CME, has also acquired the rights to produce a fourth season in 2023. Elsewhere in the region, new season renewals in Slovenia and Bulgaria are a testament to the format’s strong resonance with local audiences, Dori Media said. Following the format’s successful first season in Slovenia, Season 2 is set to return on POP TV in Spring 2023 with 20 episodes of 1 hour each, while Nova TV Bulgaria has confirmed Season 4 with 26 episodes of 2 hours each. In Romania, Antena 1 will be bringing the format to the market for the very first time with a first season confirmed for 27 episodes of 2 hours each. Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group commented: “The latest commissions for new seasons of “Power Couple” in 2023 reflect the format’s ongoing ratings success and strong international appeal. The format’s longevity around the world is driven by its authenticity, as viewers follow the journey of each couple, creating a strong emotional connection. The current demand for content to resonate with a global audience has driven an increased demand for media localisation. We are proud to work with leading broadcasters to provide fresh, high-quality formats such as Power Couple for local audiences to enjoy”. RELATED
