Amazon will provide $75 million in aid to Ukraine
Amazon will provide $75 million in aid to Ukraine. The company and the Ukrainian state signed a memorandum of cooperation for 2023. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company was one of the first to help Ukraine maintain its digital infrastructure. "Amazon AWS provided services worth millions of dollars for the storage of about 100 public registries. This allowed registries to work even during Russian shelling and emergency power outages, and Ukrainians to receive state services online," Fedorov said. Currently, the Ministry of Digitization continues cooperation with Amazon in the field of cloud technologies. "Operation" has been keeping a copy of the application backend on AWS since the early days of the full-scale intrusion and making daily backups. The company also helps train thousands of Ukrainians in IT specialties. Over 11.000 Ukrainians have already joined the ITSkills4U program in one month. RELATED
