CME names Ralf Bartoleit new CEO of bTV Media Group
Central European Media Enterprises (CME) announced today senior management changes at bTV Media Group EAD (bTV) in order to accelerate growth and digital transformation.
The bTV supervisory board voted to appoint Ralf Bartoleit as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of bTV effective January 1, 2023. Martin Svehlak will continue as bTV’s executive director responsible for news, digital, and online. Lubos Jetmar will return to Prague, handing over all responsibilities in overseeing the Bulgarian market operations to Dusan Svalek, Chief Operating Officer of CME and current member of bTV supervisory board. Lubos will work with Ralf and Dusan to ensure continuity and a smooth transition. Ralf Bartoleit has over 20 years of senior management experience at ProSieben Sat.1 Media SE. In particular, he brings a wealth of digital experience from leadership positions at Pluto TV in Los Angeles, and maxdome and Joyn in Munich, some of ProSieben’s most significant digital projects. “I am very happy to welcome Ralf to bTV. His extensive background in international media and entertainment and most importantly his experience with innovation and digitalization within our industry will best position him to accelerate our ambitious growth plans at bTV,” said Dusan Svalek.
