Ukrainian pubcaster sells content around Europe
TV channels from Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Georgia have acquired content produced by Suspilne, Olena Sikan, Director of the Rights Licensing Department of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine announced.
"Journalistic investigations, documentaries and programs of Suspilne have found new buyers. Now we are at the first stage of development of the distribution of rights to TV channels in Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Georgia. In addition to the commercial goal, we are trying to popularize socially important content about the realities of Ukraine and our culture. Therefore, we are also considering content offers for exchange," she said. According to Sikan, in addition to ready-made content, Suspilne offers its library of video materials to the market of Ukraine and the world. Sikan noted that during 2022 the demand for such rights has increased, so the company is also developing this direction. As a rule, content producers are interested in video excerpts for inclusion in audiovisual works. According to the general producer of the television directorate, Hryhoriy Tychyna, in 2022, Suspilne took part for the first time at four TV markets: in absentia — at MIPTV in Cannes, in person — at NATPE in Budapest, UNIFRANCE Rendez-Vous in Biarritz, and MIPCOM in Cannes. For the first time in the history of Suspilne, the company presented a catalog of content of its own production. RELATED
